ACOUSTI-MAT II

Acousti-Mat II is a breakthrough in sound control with the ability to decrease both airborne and impact sound transmissions. Acousti-Mat II has a core of fused entangle filaments, attached to a non-woven fabric creating a void between the subfloor and underlayment, which improves sound control. Due to the mat only being a 1⁄4 inch thick, it allows for a low profile floating floor. The composite system of Acousti-Mat II and 1 inch of Maxxon Underlayment increases IIC and STC levels up to 10 points over wood frame, and IIC up to 20 points over concrete.
